National Trails Day Event

The Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway Trail Club (MSGTC) in conjunction with the Washington Parks and Recreation Commission and the Conservation Commission will be hosting workshops/training/educating for trail volunteers on proper techniques of trail maintenance including installing rock steps, installing water bars drains, building small bridges, etc. If you've ever wondered how these things are done here's your chance to learn hands on.


For those less adventurous a fun hike in Washington’s Town Forest is also planned.

 

What to Bring:

     Volunteers should bring work boots and gloves, a change of cloths, water, and bug spray (black fly season). 


Rewards:

      - Knowledge of how trails are maintained

      - Pizza! Which will be served after the workday back at Camp Morgan (2:30pm)
