Recent WLA Property Upgrades

You may have noticed that the beach area signs are becoming easier to read. It is not due to some "fountain of youth" found in our local water causing our eyes to become better. It is due to the efforts of Don Hanssen, our vice president.

Don has been taking down the signs and refinishing them at home, the results speak to Don's patience and skill. This picture does not come close to showing off Don's work. Stop by and admire them for yourselves and give Don a big thanks.

The dam was also worked on this summer by quite a few members led by Mark Morrissette. Large and small areas of missing concrete were replaced and a top coat placed on the horizontal surfaces.

Additionally the bank was regraded and some trees removed to fulfill state recommendations. The area was then reseeded and now looks great.

Thanks, in no special order, go out to Mark, Don Hanssen, Katie and Charles Johnson, John Butcher, Joe Cummings, Sandra and Otto Nielsen, Gil Mettler. Gardner Murphy, John Decaprio and Rupert Brooks for their work on this project.

I also want to thank all members for their efforts to keep the WLA properties neat and tidy.
