From Officers and Board of Directors:

Out of safety and privacy concerns for members and guests the WLA prohibits the operation or use of drones on any WLA properties: beach, volleyball court, parking area, boat ramp and the dam.

This prohibition extends to any drones launched or operated from WLA property, as well as drones launched from private property outside of the WLA properties but flying within WLA property boundaries.

The WLA will give permission to utility companies, the Town of Washington, and fire and safety organizations that need to operate a drone on or over WLA properties to investigate issues, plan work efforts, or document conditions.

In addition Island Pond has an FAA seaplane base, 07NH / Diving Rock, which effectively prohibits operating a drone on or near the lake without permission. Please follow all FAA rules and regulations regarding recreational drone usage.
