Roadway Etiquette

Summer is here and there are many more people using the roads. Here are some laws and common sense rules to follow:

Please remember that the speed limit on Washington drive is 25 MPH.

Walkers should walk facing traffic as much as possible and remember to not take up too much of the road. There are a few blind curves on Washington Drive that drivers cannot see around.

Cars should allow 3 feet of space when passing a bicyclist when travelling up to 30 MPH, more if driving faster (NH RSA 265: 143a).

Keep pets under control so they do not dart into traffic.
